The Palms The Smelt is a compact and highly responsive metal jig, designed to deliver excellent performance in shore jigging and sea spinning, both from the shore and from a boat.
Thanks to its slender shape and central balance, it guarantees long and accurate casts even in windy conditions, always maintaining a stable posture in flight. Once in the water, it develops an extremely realistic action: reactive to the slightest jerk during retrieval and characterized by a marked flutter effect on the fall, with irregular movements that perfectly imitate a distressed baitfish.
This combination makes it particularly effective for attracting pelagic predators such as mackerels, bonito, and albacore, especially when there are feeding frenzies or active fish in midwater.
Its versatility allows for various retrieval approaches: from fast linear to jerk & fall, up to more refined techniques with pauses and rhythm variations, easily adapting to the fish's activity level.
The fluorescent UV eye increases visibility even in difficult conditions, significantly enhancing its attracting power.
