The lightest, most sensitive, and refined Favorite ever stands out on the rack for its essential design with an all-black look, shifting the focus from the handle to the blank itself, making it the protagonist. With this gem, Favorite has raised the bar in the construction of light game rods, concentrating the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. Favorite Black Swan is a series of rods designed for light and ultra-light fishing: Two rods feature HS (high solid) tips of reduced length to provide sensitivity with extra fast action; Five rods have tubular tips adopting fast action, making them suitable also for small hardbaits. For the rod blank, the best combination of different high modulus prepregs was chosen. The base prepreg consists of Nanolega Toray T1100 fiber, the best carbon fiber currently available on the market, capable of providing optimal transformability in specific production processes, such as fishing rod manufacturing. It offers the highest levels of lightness, sensitivity, and strength. Made in the USA and until now exclusively available only for the Japanese market. This prepreg is 30% stronger than other prepregs of similar modulus; therefore, in making these blanks, we were able to combine the Toray T1100 fiber with a second very high-quality fiber, Toray 46T (as used for the production of Favorite Rapid), without sacrificing the overall rod strength. Thanks to the exclusive Favorite MLS manufacturing process, various layers of carbon with different moduli are woven in different directions, allowing the desired rod action, increasing durability over time, and reducing weight. The longitudinal fiber direction provides strength. Multiple combinations of carbon layers with different fiber directions provide blank stiffness and torsional load resistance. The handle is made of 12mm front and 15mm back EVA DUPLON in a classic shape based on the ultra-functional Fuji IPS reel seat with an upper screw ring finished with a carbon insert. Special graphite pins finished with minimal epoxy resin support the entire reel seat/EVA handle block to reduce the overall handle weight while ensuring incredible sensitivity. The rod is enhanced with Fuji titanium K-profile guides with Torzite inserts. The K-profile guides, faithful to the Fuji K Concept, with a generous starting ring and micro guides at the tip, ensure perfect braided line release from the rod, guaranteeing unparalleled ballistic performance. The Torzite stone is ultra-resistant to abrasion, while the titanium frame ensures maximum strength and absolute lightness of the entire fishing system. All Black Swan rods are delivered in an elegant soft velvet fabric case, protected inside a shock-resistant plastic tube.
