The Caius is the entry-level baitcasting reel for those new to baitcasting. This versatile reel, offering fantastic value for money, is very easy to use and can cast lures weighing between 10 and 60 grams. Perfect for all predators, from small perch to large pike, the Caius allows anglers of all skill levels to experience Shimano Baitcasting technology at a great price. If you are new to baitcasting or want an affordable second reel, you will be satisfied with the Caius. Combining the finesse to effectively fish smaller predators with small lures and the strength to handle larger, more powerful predators like big pike, the Caius is a reel that will equally enhance your performance and fishing enjoyment.
The body of the Caius is built from Shimano's lightweight XT-7 composite, durable enough to withstand bumps and accidental knocks without adding excess weight. Equally important is the lightness of the spool, made from the same high-quality aluminum used in Shimano's more expensive models. For beginners, the VBS braking system features an improved 6-pin design to help prevent overloads and backlash. Owning a Shimano reel is something to be proud of, and many of the world's top anglers started their journey with a reel like the Shimano Caius. If you are looking for a versatile and affordable reel, the Caius offers a fantastic combination of performance and price.
