For those who choose to challenge the elusive and the enormous, you need gear you can rely on. In carp fishing, this means a big pit reel made from the most durable and lightweight materials, delivering smooth and powerful performance that keeps you in control. Introducing the PENN Vantage XT... PENN went back to the drawing board with this premium reel, using an incredibly stiff yet lightweight XRC carbon body and rotor, a durable CNC gear crafted from top-quality metals for long-lasting use, and a Quick Drag system that allows lightning-fast drag adjustments in the heat of battle. It’s the perfect package for the demanding carp angler, whether you choose size 7000 or 8000. But the real highlight of this workhorse is its effortless, precise long-distance casting. Thanks to PENN’s innovative X-Slow Leveline technology, the reel achieves over 50 line wraps per single spool oscillation, resulting in near-perfect line lay and extremely accurate, long casts. There’s a reason PENN calls it the Rocket Spool Design. No fewer than 9+1 sealed ball bearings contribute to smooth, quiet operation during winding or fish fighting, while the sealed drag is virtually impervious to water or dirt interference. Additionally, two included line reducers can be applied to the spool, meaning you’ll never use more line than necessary. This reel is designed to deliver ever-improving results, made for those who pursue perfection in carp fishing.
