This hook was specifically designed to be used with stiff baits and rig presentations such as the chod rig or the hinged stiff rig, but it is also suitable for other pop-up presentations. The eye turned outward provides continuity to the curve that runs from the bait to the hook when using a stiff presentation, while the rest of the structure is inspired by the legendary Wide Gape, although the metal is slightly thicker. Using size 8 of this model, Darrell Peck caught carp over 30 kg and confidently states that it is a truly solid hook. It features a very sharp, slightly curved point and a barb sized to hold firmly without compromising hook penetration. The Choddy model is available with or without a barb and in sizes 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4. Each pack includes ten hooks.
