These Dark Matter Leaders incorporate our Heli-Safe system and can be used with any helicopter-style rig, whether it is a conventional hook link or a Chod rig. This leader contains tungsten sections inside to ensure it stays locked on the bottom. It also incorporates the Chod Safe system, which ensures that the rig can slide off the leader in case of mainline breakage, and the rig can be easily attached via a quick-release swivel. The DM Heli-Safe Leader is available in lengths of 1m or 50cm; with the longer version, the top bead can be moved if fishing over silt or weed to ensure optimal presentation. Some lakes now have rules limiting the maximum leader length; in this case, the 50cm version is the most suitable... it is also excellent when fishing at distance for longer casts. The other end of this leader has a fused loop, to which the mainline can be attached, or to allow the leader to be easily removed; the loop-to-loop method is best. The Dark Matter leader material is very abrasion resistant, has a breaking strain of 40lb, and can be used on any type of bottom as it is available in Clear, Weed, or Gravel colors. Each pack contains one leader.
