The original Korda Lead Clip is designed to release the lead in situations where it is needed, such as when the lead gets snagged or if the fish passes through a dense weed area. Unlike the Quick Release Lead Clip, the original model does not allow the lead to detach easily, thus preventing unnecessary lead loss except when truly necessary to ensure the carp's safety. The plastic retention arm is strong enough to withstand even the hardest cast with a heavy lead without breaking, while the rear end of the main body of the Lead Clip features knurling that allows the Tail Rubber to detach only when needed. The ease with which the clip releases the lead can be adjusted by pushing the Tail Rubber deeper or less deep. To allow the lead to detach easily, it is important to ensure that the clip cannot slide freely on the line. The clip is also designed to be compatible with a size 8 swivel, which will remain in place. This semi-fixed setup is extremely secure and, if used correctly, allows the carp to shed the lead even if the line breaks. Available in weed, silt, gravel, and clay colors, it is sold in packs of ten pieces.
