The BASIX Wide Gape hook has been designed as the perfect all-round model, which can be used straight from the pack for a wide variety of rigs without the need to add many other components, whether you are fishing with sinking baits, pop-ups, or wafters. The aggressive inward-facing eye helps ensure the hook turns and sets without the need to add extra kickers or shrink tubes. It is made with our "X" gauge wire, making it suitable for use both in the UK and abroad due to its strength, and it has a discreet black nickel finish. The point is designed to last a long time, allowing you to catch more fish with the same hook before needing to change it – each time you cast, check that it is still sharp and replace it if necessary. Its shape is based on the original incredibly effective Wide Gape, which has been responsible for catching countless large carp over the years. BASIX Wide Gape hooks are available in Barbed and Barbless versions in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8. Each pack contains ten hooks.
