The green version of the Long Chuck Tapered Mainline was introduced to the Long Chuck family for anglers who prefer colored line over the standard transparent. Long Chuck Tapered Mainline is designed for long-distance casting in situations where you want to fish directly without a terminal knot, particularly useful in areas with weeds that can gather around the knot and cause problems at the rod tip. The Long Chuck Tapered Mainline Green comes on a 300 m spool, with an 8 m section at each end of 0.47 mm (30 lb) diameter line designed to absorb casting force, as well as offering good abrasion resistance when handling fish, and a 2 m tapered section reducing down to the diameter of the chosen line. It is identical at both ends, so if you break it, you can simply reverse the line on the spool and reuse it. The Long Chuck Tapered Mainline Green has the same properties as the Long Chuck line, with ultra-low elasticity that helps compress the rod (heavy mono is usually quite elastic and limits casting); low water absorption; light for its breaking strength; and a high breaking strength to diameter ratio to reduce resistance. It is available in 10-30 lb (0.27-0.47 mm); 12-30 lb (0.30-0.47 mm); and 15-30 lb (0.33-0.47 mm) options.
