The Heli-Safe system is ideal for use with any helicopter rig, whether using a conventional rig or a chod, and is now available on a pre-tied leader. These 50 cm leaders are made with the new Tight Weave Kable Leadcore and are ready to use straight from the pack.

The 50 cm versions are not only perfect for locking everything down on the lakebed and protecting fish from line damage during the fight, but are absolutely ideal for long-range casting.

This type of lead has excellent anti-tangle properties but is also very fish-friendly, as it incorporates the Mini Heli-Safe System – a more compact version of the original – ensuring the lead detaches whenever necessary. It also includes our No-Trace safety system, which ensures that if the main line breaks, the hook link can easily free itself from the leader, and each pack contains two spare No-Trace Beads (these can also be purchased separately if needed).

The upper rubber of the No-Trace Safety System can be positioned close to the lead when fishing over clean bottoms or moved to the other end of the leader when fishing over weed or debris, especially with chods. The Mini Heli-Safe can be adjusted in different ways depending on the fishing situation, with the standard spring releasing the lead with minimal pressure and ensuring it drops at the moment of capture, which is great in dense weed. Alternatively, it can be replaced by the red spring (two included), designed for generally clear waters where you want the lead to drop only if it gets snagged on something.

It is also possible to add a collar (two included) to ensure the lead is never lost, but in case of breakage the fish can still free itself thanks to the No-Trace safety system. Using a size 11 QC Ring Swivel allows quick and easy rig changes, while the leaded loop at one end simplifies attachment to the main line – the loop-to-loop style is the simplest and fastest.

Kable Heli-Safe Leadcore leads are available in Gravel Brown or Weed/Silt colors, two per pack, and also come with: 2 spare No-Trace beads; 2 Mini Heli-Safe collars; 2 Mini Heli-Safe red springs.
