Weighing only 750 g, the SEABORG 500J sets a new standard in the 500 size category, significantly reducing weight compared to previous models and offering more natural handling even during longer fishing sessions. JOG POWER LEVER – Total control with one finger The major innovation of the SEABORG 500J is the new JOG POWER LEVER system. The control has been repositioned to the central part of the body and transformed into an ergonomic rotary joystick, allowing you to control retrieval speed directly with the thumb of the hand holding the rod. This solution allows you to: instantly adjust retrieval speed; precisely manage lure action; perform stops, starts, and variations during fighting; always keep control of the rod without moving your hand. The new aluminum lever, with a special non-slip finish, ensures a secure grip even with wet hands and allows extremely precise power regulation. MAGMAX-G MOTOR – Daiwa's new power generation The heart of the SEABORG 500J is the new MAGMAX-G MOTOR, designed to deliver an superior combination of torque, speed, immediate response, and durability. Thanks to the use of special neodymium magnets and the new internal motor structure, the MAGMAX-G guarantees quick response even under heavy load and consistent retrieval capacity in the most demanding situations. Compared to previous MAGMAX motors, durability has been increased up to 4 times, offering greater reliability even in extreme fishing conditions. TOUGH MEGA MONSTER – Built for big battles The SEABORG 500JP is designed to handle powerful fish and situations where reliability and control make the difference. The large motor torque allows for powerful and progressive retrieval while maintaining the sensitivity needed for delicate techniques. Power Supply The SEABORG 500J operates with a DC 12-16.8 V power supply. Do not use incompatible power sources (AC 100 V or 24 V systems), as they could compromise reel operation and activate electronic protection systems. To achieve maximum performance of the MAGMAX-G motor, Daiwa recommends using dedicated batteries for electric reels.
