The Essentials Wide Gape X hook has been designed as a versatile and perfect model, ready to use straight from the package for a wide variety of rigs without the need to add other components, whether fishing with sinking baits, pop-ups, or wafters. The aggressive inward-facing eye ensures that the hook turns and hooks the fish's mouth without the need to add a Kicker or heat-shrink tubing.
These hooks are made with our "X" gauge wire, making them strong and durable. The tip has been designed to last long, allowing you to catch more fish with the same hook before needing to replace it; however, it is always advisable to check that the tip is still sharp before each cast and replace it if necessary.
The shape is based on the highly effective original Wide Gape, which has enabled countless large carp to be caught over the years. With a subtle black nickel finish, these Wide Gape hooks are destined to land many more carp.
The Essentials Wide Gape hooks are available in barbed and barbless versions, in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8, with ten hooks per pack.
