These Grapple Leads have been developed to help map lakebeds at extreme depths. The lead's points help identify traces on the bottom that would normally be missed by a smooth lead. The Grapple Lead works by locking the four points in a vertical position before casting and probing the bottom as usual. Pulling back any algae, debris, or natural food sources such as mosquito larvae will gather around the lead, helping to determine the condition of the lakebed. If the Grapple Lead encounters an excess of algae, rocks, or mussel beds and gets stuck, applying steady pressure will unlock the points, allowing the lead to be retrieved normally. They are available in packs of two and in weights of 2 oz, 3 oz, and 4 oz.
