“Supernato Beetle” was born from an intuition by Mike “Ike” Iaconelli, Elite Pro Angler and Bassmaster Classic Champion, developed and designed in Italy.
It is a soft crawler top water lure with a seductive and sinuous movement. Extraordinarily versatile and easy to use, it is suitable for many fishing situations; from open waters to the most intricate cover. The natural “paddle & splash” action during retrieval activates predators by stimulating their aggressiveness.
The rod angle during retrieval allows the angler to use it differently. With the rod held high for very slow retrieves even at long distance; with the rod low for faster and more frantic retrieves. The “stop” and correct control of inertia by the angler is one of its winning features. With small rod twitches, it manages to attract the predator’s attention, staying within the strike zone: an essential characteristic when fishing close to cover and submerged obstacles. Weeds, water lilies, trees, reeds, and under the bank are spots where the Beetle has proven particularly effective in targeting large Black Bass.
It can also be retrieved with sharp jerks to create a strong and noisy call typical of poppers.
The weight is 5/8 oz, and it is made with a very resistant yet very soft compound.
It is equipped with a double and sturdy hook, which fits the body profile giving the lure great snag resistance. The hook has been designed and made to safely handle large predators, besides Black Bass, such as Snakehead, Barramundi, and Peacock Bass.
