In the case of fly reels, fundamental elements such as weight, retrieval speed, line capacity, drag power, and ergonomics must be perfectly balanced with each other. It is precisely this synthesis that determines overall performance and guides the design. Among all factors, the ratio between weight and retrieval speed is key: it defines the real efficiency of the reel and what distinguishes a true large arbor.
In concrete terms, it is about maximizing retrieval speed per unit of weight. The goal is clear: to achieve the lightest possible structure, at the same diameter, without compromising strength and reliability.
From this philosophy come the new Speedsters, completely redesigned. Thanks to advanced machining of the spool, material is used exclusively where needed, reducing weight and significantly improving performance.
The result is a coherent and distinctive design, where every formal choice derives directly from function. Because when engineering and aesthetics share the same vision, beauty becomes a natural consequence of performance.
