The Presso Rattlin’ Wake Bug 28HF is a high-floating crankbait developed to maximize effectiveness during the most technical phases of trout area fishing. Created under the supervision of top Japanese tester and troutsman Hiroki Wada "Koki," this small but lethal lure is designed to offer maximum surface attraction power and a high hooking probability even in the toughest moments of competition.
Usage techniques: Using the basic stop & go technique, the Wake Bug slowly rises to the surface during the pause phase, triggering the instinctive reaction of following fish. The rising speed has been carefully calibrated to make it difficult for fish to "read" the lure, increasing the chances of a strike. By alternating stops and slight rod actions, it is possible to actively manage the surface, creating ripples with the lip and limiting movement distance. This allows the Rattlin’ Wake Bug to remain in the strike zone for a long time, stimulating even the laziest fish.
Technical features:
- Body with integrated rattling (3.0mm); the sound produced during action or water impact stimulates even fish less attentive to the surface.
- Compact and tapered tail design; inspired by the aerodynamics of the “Poppin’Bug,” improving casting distance despite the compact body.
- Hooks oriented inward; a choice by Koki to increase hooking efficiency, especially with the typical "timid" strikes of trout.
- DAIWA "SAqSas" technology; hooks treated with a fluorinated coating, up to 40% more penetrating compared to standard ones (average +20%), to not lose even the lightest contacts.
