Introducing the CurrentSniper XR, a high-performance rod series from the acclaimed Shimano JDM range. Designed for saltwater anglers dedicated to shore jigging, this rod combines strength and lightness, offering the control and power needed to tackle large and aggressive saltwater species such as dentex, amberjack, groupers, and tunas. Selected from Shimano's exclusive JDM line and developed with input from top Japanese shore jigging experts, the CurrentSniper XR is a must-have for those seeking the best shore rods. Its lightweight and perfectly balanced structure, along with impressive responsiveness, make it ideal for casting at extreme distances. The moderately fast action increases casting power while providing remarkable sensitivity for precise control when using jigs or artificial lures. As a flagship rod, the CurrentSniper XR achieves the perfect balance between long-distance casting, lightness, sensitivity, and the power required for shore jigging and plugging. It offers high-precision casting, excellent handling, and stable lifting power when fighting large fish. The CurrentSniper XR is available in a versatile range of lengths and actions. Whether fishing sportively near the coast, on distant cliffs, or in open waters from a boat, this rod is built to handle it all. The high-performance features of the CurrentSniper XR come from a high-modulus carbon blank that incorporates Shimano's exclusive Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X technologies, as well as Nanopitch. This combination reduces blank twisting and improves casting distance and accuracy, delivering exceptional performance. Shimano's exclusive Spiral X-Core technology reinforces the blank, while the screw-lock system increases joint strength and facilitates disassembly of the two-piece rod. Fuji K-Type stainless steel SiC guides enhance casting performance and reduce line wear. The Fuji DPS reel seat, with a double locking nut, ensures secure attachment of all reel sizes, while the ergonomic EVA handle provides a firm grip even when wet. The range covers powers from M to XH, suitable for metal jigs and plugs from about 30g to over 100g. Experience the pinnacle of shore jigging with the CurrentSniper XR series, where innovation meets excellence and performance meets precision.
