SLX BFS XG
The SLX BFS (Bait Finesse System) is Shimano's most affordable ultra-finesse baitcasting reel, adding to the popular SLX line. Perfectly designed for fishing with ultralight artificial lures, this impressive and lightweight reel can handle lures as light as 1 g, offering a serious alternative to smaller spinning reels. If you specialize in light lures and want to purchase a baitcasting reel specialized for fishing with light artificial lures, the SLX BFS is an excellent choice. Designed for the smallest lures, the SLX BFS casts excellently thanks to the adjustable FTB (Fine Tune Brake) technology and allows efficient work with lures as light as 1 g. If you have previously used spinning reels for ultrafinesse fishing, you will immediately appreciate the advantages of this model. A quick rod tip movement casts the lightest lures in an almost frictionless flight. Ideal for trout fishing, perch, or even fooling larger fish that ignore bigger lures, the light approach has much to offer and with the SLX BFS you have the perfect reel to maximize your success. The impressive light casting performance of the SLX BFS is driven by Shimano's FTB (Finesse Tune Braking) system, featuring magnets inside the handle-less side plate that apply an adjustable braking force directly to the spool. By adjusting the brake knob, the magnets move closer (for more braking) or farther away, keeping the spool itself free of moving parts and allowing exceptionally smooth and low-resistance rotation. Performance is enhanced by the S3D spool design and Super Free Spool technology. Inside the lightweight aluminum HAGANE body, precision gears, bearings, and X-SHIP ensure powerful and smooth winding, while Cross Carbon Drag and Exciting Drag Sound offer improved control and satisfying sensory feedback when playing hard-fighting fish.
