The Forcemaster Catfish is Shimano's entry-level range of rods dedicated to catfish, capable of satisfying a variety of modern fishing techniques used by European anglers, such as vertical fishing, artificial lures, and static bait fishing. All models share exceptional robustness, powerful action, and sturdy components designed to handle the largest catfish in Europe, even in the most challenging conditions.
To adapt to the different methods used in European fishing, the Forcemaster Catfish range offers various models to suit your preferred fishing style. Whether you prefer static bait fishing/from the bank in rivers or still waters, vertical boat rods for worm and fireball methods, or rods for artificial lures, there is an option for you. Whatever model you choose, be assured that when the moment calls for applying maximum pressure to subdue a monstrous catfish, the Forcemaster Catfish will live up to its name, providing the confidence to fight with unmatched strength and power.
The incredible power of the Forcemaster Catfish rods comes from the Full Carbon blank. The result is an incredibly strong and robust rod, capable not only of applying enormous amounts of power when needed but also of handling the aggressive nature of extreme catfish fishing. All models feature a super durable Shimano DPS M reel seat, able to securely hold both spinning and casting reels in tough situations, and super durable stainless steel Seaguide XBG guides. All handles are made of high-quality EVA. The vertical model has a moderately fast action and a two-piece contoured grip that ensures maximum hold, even when wet. The Lure models have a fast action and a more traditional split grip design, while the Static models have a moderately fast action and EVA handles. All models come with a rubber butt cap for greater fighting comfort.
