The TLD Stand-Up is a medium-priced heavy-duty hunting rod perfect for large, fighting pelagic fish such as tuna and sharks. Available in 4 models ranging from 20 to 80 pounds and built on a Full Carbon blank with added biofiber for strength, this high-quality range can be fully trusted in the most extreme situations. If you take your offshore fishing seriously and want a rod, or a selection of rods, that offers an enviable combination of quality and affordability, the TLD Stand-up might be exactly to your liking. These rods have been tested against some of the largest fish in the world and have a huge reputation for no-nonsense quality and performance, making them the preferred rod for many charter owners. Pair one with a Shimano TLD multiplier reel and you will have a combination that any angler, regardless of experience or skill, would be proud to own. The TLD Stand-up is built on a Full Carbon blank with added biofiber to ensure strength and reliability. The result is a range of rods that are more than capable of handling anything you might encounter at home or abroad. The lightweight design hides immense power in the stronger models, while the 20-pound model is a splendid "stand and fight" rod, with a forgiving action that provides plenty of feedback and fun. The Shimano Hardlite stainless steel guides on the 20-pound model allow the use of braid or monofilament lines, while the roller guides on the stronger models are designed to reduce friction under extreme stress. The lightweight aluminum butt is coated with high-quality EVA for assured handling and equipped with an aluminum reel seat for security.
