The Twin Power XD is at the heart of Shimano's Magnumlite series, built to be the most durable and long-lasting reel in its category. Equipped with the latest Shimano technology, it is designed for smooth and effortless casting and retrieval in the toughest conditions, especially at sea. Equally suited for heavy freshwater fishing, the Twin Power XD provides the extra strength needed to confidently handle the most powerful fish.
Whether you are a saltwater angler or often use heavy artificial lures in freshwater, the Twin Power XD is a reel that will not only meet your expectations but elevate them. It is remarkably lightweight yet incredibly strong, designed to face challenges that test your skills and ignite your imagination. This reel takes what you thought impossible and pushes it to a whole new level. The combination of weight reduction, sensitivity, and pure power is nothing short of sublime. With the Twin Power XD, you have full control: you will fish your lures with precision and delicacy, but be ready to unleash power when a strike demands immediate action. Whether it’s pulling a fish away from a rocky obstacle or fighting in tough conditions, this reel makes no compromises, and neither will the angler.
Equipped with Shimano’s latest HAGANE technology, including HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Micro Module II, and Silent Drive, the Twin Power XD is further enhanced by three exclusive "INFINITY" technologies: INFINITYLOOP, INFINITYXROSS, and INFINITY DRIVE. This cutting-edge combination delivers smooth, effortless power that you will notice as soon as you turn the handle, with every gear meshing perfectly. When it’s time to apply fish-stopping pressure, the exceptional Duracross Drag provides unparalleled confidence, especially during the most intense battles. And when it comes to reaching fish that hunt at a distance, you will appreciate how the advanced AR-C Long Stroke spool and anti-twist fin work together to increase casting distance, accuracy, and line management, keeping slack line under control for uninterrupted retrieval. The addition of X-Protect, for internal protection against saltwater, further enhances the design inspiration and ensures your Twin Power XD will never let you down when you need it most.
