The use of a mixture of Hankook and Toray carbon fibers for the butt section and tip, combined with the helical ring winding, results in a blank that delivers on the promise of casting and playing fish while remaining light and slim. As with all Free Spirit rods, the finish is designed to be aesthetically pleasing and distinctive, free of any paint or lacquer to maintain its appearance for many years. The construction chosen is very modern, featuring black reel seat plates and stainless steel guides with black inserts, along with a subtle red tip around the logo. All rods come with abbreviated handles, DPS size 18 reel seats, and black acetyl collars. The range includes 5 rods: a 10' 3lb with a 40mm first ring and size 12 anti-tangle tip, suitable for smaller waters, impromptu sessions, or when traveling light. There are three 12' rods: the 3lb and 3.25lb are excellent all-rounders, and a 3.50lb for long distances or heavier duties; all are ringed with a taper from 50mm to 16 anti-tangle guides. The 13' is available only in the "SU" version, capable of long distances with an anti-tangle tip and taper from 50mm to 16.
