The brand new Shimano SpeedMaster XSD 14000 surf casting reel features all the characteristics to ensure greater durability and performance for fishing prized fish in surf conditions, introducing many technologies inherited from high-quality surf reels. The ultra-rigid CI4+ body reduces flexing tendencies and provides a lightweight yet solid base to enhance the cold-forged HAGANE gears for smoothness and long-lasting durability. The SpeedMaster XSD 14000 incorporates RigidCast technology to withstand the impact of extreme casting forces, minimizing spool oscillation and flexing of the main shaft and body during the initial moments of the cast. The result: greater casting distance and accuracy. To create a quieter and smoother winding experience, Shimano has incorporated SilentDrive technology in the SpeedMaster XSD 14000 to eliminate unnecessary noise and vibrations.
