The Geecrack Bugpee is an insect lure ready to drive bass crazy! In the varied diet of black bass, aquatic insects play a significant role, and having an imitation of them is always a valuable asset. Satoshi Yamashita, a renowned guide at Lake Biwa in Japan, designed the Bugpee to offer the best expression of this family of soft baits. Purely realistic imitations tend to work less well with bass, so the Geecrack Bugpee incorporates many features to attract these green friends. To better understand the unique aspects of this lure, it is important to consider the rigging methods for which it was specifically designed. The free rig is definitely the primary style for using the Bugpee, which is intended as a finesse bait. Especially in the smaller size, the Nose-Hook rig is also very effective, both weightless and on drop shot. You will have already understood that the lure's strength lies in its fall: it is designed to descend horizontally, with its claws and antennae stabilizing it while the side legs vibrate to attract bass. The Bugpee is made in Japan from S.A.F. material, which ensures the bait stays longer in the bass's mouth. Geecrack Bugpee comes in two sizes: the 3.5-inch size is suitable for offset hooks from 4/0 to 6/0, while the 2.2-inch size fits an offset hook 1/0. Each pack contains 5 pieces.
