Geecrack – Dumbbell Worm 2.8’’ is a small, ingenious finesse lure for Bass Fishing developed by our Japanese friends for the 2021 season. As the name suggests, "dumbbell" refers to training dumbbells; it is a soft bait with a symmetrical profile thickened on the sides. At its center, there is a ball-shaped bulge where the hook is placed. This lure is specifically designed for wacky and drop shot fishing. Its effectiveness is evident during the fall and while shaking. During the fall, the two large appendages flutter with a wavy action reminiscent of a garden irrigation sprinkler. For wacky rigging, slightly weighted hooks like the Shank Chotto ODZ size #2 are generally recommended. For drop shot use, once the weight is on the bottom, the natural fall of the Dumbbell Worm 2.8’’ should be exploited, then shaken a little on the bottom, retrieved, and repeated. Alternatively, it can be kept suspended with continuous small twitches of the rod tip to make it shake and attract nearby fish. We believe this lure, worked on the bottom, is also deadly for catching large carp with spinning gear. Like most Geecrack soft baits, the Dumbbell Worm’s compound is enriched with the original S.A.F. mixture, a unique blend of salt, amino acids, and a strong shrimp aroma. Each pack contains 8 pieces.
