The Vanquish is the pure embodiment of Shimano's Magnumlite philosophy. Crafted with the utmost Japanese precision, it is designed for those who demand the best from themselves and their gear.
The reel's responsiveness and smoothness make it perfect for ultralight fishing techniques targeting perch, trout, and zander. However, the Vanquish is available in many sizes and can be used for various techniques and species, including inshore saltwater spinning and fishing with large crankbaits in the 4000 and 5000 sizes. The Vanquish will guide you to achieve your best in every adventure. The first thing you'll notice is the reel's weight, or rather its lack of weight. The medium-sized 3000 weighs only 170 g: a remarkable figure that you will feel.
The Vanquish sets new quality standards in the UL fishing sector. Shimano has gone "beyond lightness" to create a lightweight winding mechanism with unmatched features. It is the pinnacle of ultralight reels and is packed with Shimano technologies, mainly derived from STELLA.
The Vanquish's lightness comes from the extensive use of Shimano's exclusive Ci4+ composite material, which is not only super light but also remarkably strong and rigid. This is enhanced by the addition of the Magnumlite rotor, which also contributes to the incredibly low starting inertia when winding. This slow starting inertia is especially important in precision fishing and UL techniques. You will be able to fish these techniques more accurately than ever. Shimano has eliminated play in every component, further increasing the reel's meticulous precision.
Another great advantage is the addition of InfinityDrive. This technology produces powerful yet light rotation, especially under heavy loads. In extreme situations, it is possible to maintain a constant and consistent crank pressure, very useful when hooking a big fish.
The addition of InfinityLoop greatly improves casting distance. This will help you reach that interesting distant spot, even with a super light setup. Other advanced technologies, such as InfinityXross, X-Protect, and Anti-Twist Fin, further contribute to the remarkable technical performance of this reel.
If you do not want to compromise on the quality and performance of your ultralight fishing gear, this is the reel you are looking for.
