Overview There is no telescopic rod that can beat a jointed rod (Match) in every respect, from performance to physical structure. This is why Daiwa continues to invest resources and energy in the development of specific "three-piece" rods for Lake Trout. A project born back in 1999 and which today, successfully, continues with the Luvias Match series, descendant of the timeless TD-XT, Airity, and F1. The Luvias Lake Trout Match series, together with its sister Luvias Telescopic, has started a new era, the era of parabolic curves, useful to make natural dead baits appear alive with the "tremarella" technique. In other words, rods that are more parabolic and less "stiff."
