Method feeder fishing is one of the most popular techniques used by modern anglers, which means fish have probably been caught with it several times and may be a bit wary or, in some lakes, have changed their feeding habits.
This was noticed by Des Shipp when he kept getting taps on the Method but they did not turn into actual bites. This was because fish were knocking all the groundbait off the feeder without touching the hook, leaving the bait without food around it and thus defeating the purpose of fishing with a method feeder. So we decided to create a groundbait that is stickier, harder, denser, and easy to compact on a Method feeder for places where this happens.
50:50 Method Paste Green has a very high protein content from fishmeal and ground pellets, which helps it compact around a Method feeder, meaning it easily withstands the impact of casting, hitting the water, falling through the water, and any small knocks from fish trying to remove the bait on the ground. This is also why it has gained a strong following for Method feeder fishing in deep waters both in the UK and Europe.
50:50 Method Paste Green is a rich dark green perfectly suited for commercial fishing.
It is not just a Method bait as the name suggests. The high fishmeal content makes it ideal for creating a pole paste simply by adding more water; if you prefer a very soft paste, keep adding water until you reach the desired consistency.
