SONU SUPERCRUSH MARGIN CARP GROUNDBAIT (2KG)
This groundbait has been specifically created for margin fishing. We all know that a competition can be won or lost in the last hour, as in commercial waters the bigger fish often move towards the shore and start feeding confidently, which is why it is important to have the right groundbait to hold these bonuses.
Carp are attracted by the bait and swim searching for baited areas. The problem with many conventional groundbaits is that they are too “light” and do not contain the necessary nutrients to keep the fish active. Often, when carp arrive along the margins, they feed on the groundbait found on the bottom but as soon as they are hooked they create confusion by stirring up all the food particles present.
For this reason, we created a groundbait that not only attracts carp but keeps them in the area, because even if the hooked fish stirs up the particles, most will fall back into the same area without being dispersed over a wide zone.
We made this groundbait using “heavy” ingredients which we ground into small particles; for this reason, once water is added their weight increases significantly, eliminating any dispersion problems.
Andy Power (Commercial Waters Specialist) says: “During competitions, catching the biggest specimens ensures a good result. I prepare my groundbait for short-range fishing by mixing it as soon as I arrive at the peg to make sure the particles are soaked and heavier. At the right moment, I feed my margin with a small amount of bait and during the match I create a rich groundbait area; surely this is the best mix to use when fishing carp at the margins.”
Preparation Guide
Margin Carp is simple to prepare. Pour the contents of the bag into a sufficiently large round bucket, add about 2 pints of water and mix thoroughly, then let the mixture rest for 30 minutes during which the water will be fully absorbed. Then, to remove any lumps and create a uniform consistency, use a groundbait sieve.
When fishing on hot or windy days, be careful of the mixture drying out; protect your groundbait with a bait mat and occasionally check its consistency, adding a minimal amount of water if necessary to restore optimal moisture levels.
