The range is in the name: SLR stands for Spring Loaded Reflex. This is the main feature of the range and offers super-fast setup and takedown with a particular focus on saving time. The SLR is designed with profiled aluminum frames that offer plenty of headroom and ensure optimized and best-usable internal space, as well as increased stability and comfort. They also feature a new roof design that channels rain away from the front of the bivvy, meaning you no longer have to worry about puddles forming inside the entrance. Protection from the elements and living comfort are further enhanced by the Pro-Tex fabric, which is fully breathable (2 mm), waterproof, extremely durable, and surprisingly lightweight. The Reflex also features our Pro-Vent system with a fully removable front panel, equipped with covered mosquito net doors and windows. This can be quickly and easily changed to a full mosquito net front if preferred. In fact, the SLR has four very large covered rear and side mosquito nets, always ensuring maximum ventilation and panoramic views. This makes the bivvy ideal for spotting fish or optimizing airflow on warm summer days. The included flysheet works in perfect harmony with the bivvy, shading the top where warm air rises and allowing the air to cool much more slowly and naturally. This helps prevent condensation and also acts as a great natural insulating barrier when used in colder conditions. The Pro-Vent system also benefits from the use of the flysheet: the vents can be adjusted so that only the top part is open, which is then protected from any storms by the flysheet. This allows the bivvy to breathe and keeps occupants comfortable in all weather conditions. The sturdy Pro-Tect groundsheet completely seals the SLR from the outside world and is attached to the bivvy via robust zippers 1 cm above ground level, ensuring that any water on the ground does not interfere. It also helps keep out annoying creatures, contributing to a great night’s sleep where your only interruption will be the sound of your bite alarm.
